Join the yPIE Board of Directors!

Are you ready to expand your leadership in international education? Join the yPIE Board of Directors! We’re currently looking for two new board members to be appointed during the summer of 2014 to join our six existing members. One of those positions will have a role on the Membership Committee and the other on the Communications Committee. These new positions are for a one year term running from July 2014 until July 2015.

The Board of Directors is responsible for the strategic direction of yPIE, overseeing all aspects of the organization, including membership, communications, partnerships and activities. The Board is made up of eight young leaders, each of whom serve on one of four committees: Communications, Membership, Networking, and Content. The Board meets on a quarterly basis to review activities and plan future projects. Additional Board meetings, including committee meetings, may be held as needed throughout the year.

You will be asked to respond to each of the following questions in 100 words or less in the application form:

  • Why are you interested in becoming a yPIE Board member?
  • What skills do you have that you predict will benefit the yPIE Board?
  • What do you aim to accomplish as a yPIE Board member?
  • Tell us about your previous participation in international education activities.
